How It Works
Breeder’s Best (BB) operates somewhat like a music label, where the plant breeders are the artists, and BB is the company that licenses their work, and brings it to the world. In the process, great plant breeders who have not had market success can be recognized as the artists they are, as we bring their work to the world.
The music industry provides royalties, marketing and distribution support for musicians, protecting their work and delivering their music to the world. We are focused on providing a similar benefit to our Cannabis breeders. But unlike music labels that end up owning their artists’ copyrights, under our model the breeders always own the patents that cover their cultivars. Instead of owning their patents, we fulfill our function as the breeders’ licensee.

We have some great cultivars developed by independent Cannabis breeders and licensed to us for bringing to market. We are open to a variety of industry partnerships in which we grant sub-licenses to—and work with—outstanding cultivators, manufacturers, and distributors.
