Breeder’s Best Achieves Important Milestone Pink Boost Goddess is the first Cannabis Cultivar Licensed
San Diego, California – Breeder’s Best is proud to announce the first cultivar licensed from its newly released exclusive genetic library, the unique Pink Boost Goddess (PBG) plant, rich in the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). Pink Boost Goddess won several awards at the Emerald Cup 2021 and 2022 including Highest THCV flower in CA, 2021 & 2022; 1st Place Third Party Certified Sungrown Flower; 2022 Most Unique Cannabinoid Profile, and 2022 Exotic Terpene Profile. Pink Boost Goddess also won the first-ever 2022 Gold Medal at the California State Fair for most unique flower in California.
Among Cannabis users, growers, retailers, and formulators, excitement is building about THCV because it is thought to reduce appetite and provide clarity and sharpness to the senses. Breeder’s Best Founder and CEO, Dale Hunt, PhD, JD, said, “We are honored to help the PBG breeder, Emerald Spirit Botanicals, bring this special cultivar to increased public access. We believe PBG has the highest commercially available percentage of THCV currently on the market. We are excited to be trialing PBG with multiple growers in different environments to better understand optimal growing conditions for this particular cultivar.”
The breeder of Pink Boost Goddess is Katie Jeane. She works closely with her sons Joseph and River Haggard to run their farm, Emerald Spirit Botanicals, a Sun+Earth Certified regenerative Cannabis farm in the Emerald Triangle. Katie Jeane says “We are in gratitude to be working with the team at Breeder’s Best and our new licensees, HappyDay Farms — an outdoor regenerative Sun+Earth certified farm; MOCA Humboldt — an award-winning small batch indoor cultivator; and Lifted Organics — a medium scale outdoor sun-grown farm.” Joseph adds, “These cultivators share in our desire to offer more chemically diverse and balanced plant medicines to consumers and are working with us to better understand how Pink Boost Goddess grows in various regions and conditions to help us match this cultivar with future licensees.” Katie Jeane concludes, “We are honored to offer this medicine to the people after intentionally breeding with this lineage over the last seven years.”
To help growers, manufacturers and consumers better understand the science behind THCV and potential commercial applications, Breeder’s Best will host a free webinar presented by Breeder’s Best’s Medical Director, Ethan Russo, MD, on September 8, 2022, at 1 pm E | 10 am P. Participation is free, but registration is required. Sign up for the THCV Webinar here.
